Deputy Mayor for Culture and Leisure Paavo Arhinmäki

The Deputy Mayor serves as the chair of the Culture and Leisure committee and is a member of the City Board.

The Deputy Mayor for Culture and Leisure, Paavo Arhinmäki, is responsible for four service entireties within the Culture and Leisure Division:

• Library Services
• Cultural Services
• Sports Services
• Youth Services

The Culture and Leisure Committee steers and monitors the division’s operations. The committee has three sub-committees: the Culture and Library Sub-Committee, Sports Sub-committee and Youth Sub-committee.

The Deputy Mayor for Culture and Leisure serves as the chair of the Culture and Leisure Committee and a member of the Helsinki City Council.
